Symptoms occur in the acute and delayed phases. The Acute phase includes within 5-30 minutes of exposure and in the delayed phase, the symptoms may start within 2- 8 hours of exposure.
The most common symptoms of hay fever include running watery thin nasal discharge, violent sneezing, itching of the eyes, redness of the eyes, loss of sense to smell, irritation in the throat and nose, watery eyes, headache due to continuous sneezing, Hoarseness of the voice, nasal congestion, cobbler appearance of the Conjunctiva, oedema of the eyelids and mouth breathing.
